ASSIGNMENTS<\/strong> is a new project from Phil Hayes <\/strong>(Phil Hayes & The Trees).<\/p>\n

Phil wrote to some fel\u00adlow artist col\u00adleagues around the planet and asked them for an as\u00adsign\u00adment – the ti\u00adtle and first line of a song – Maybe there’s a song they’\u2019d like to hear that no-one’s writ\u00adten yet?<\/p>\n

ASSIGNMENTS #1<\/em><\/strong> contains seven songs written by Phil after song titles and and first lines were suggested by;<\/p>\n

Jacob Wren<\/strong> – a writer and performance-maker based in Montreal.<\/p>\n

Paloma Ayala <\/strong>– an artist focusing on social-based artistic practices, originally from Mexico, now based in Switzerland<\/p>\n

Charbel Haber<\/strong> – a composer, performer and songwriter from Beirut, Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Erin Hawkins<\/strong> – a writer and teacher living in Ontario, Canada<\/p>\n

Ren\u00e9e van Trier<\/strong> – a musician, performer and painter from Tilburg, Netherlands<\/p>\n

ASSIGNMENTS #1<\/em><\/strong> was recorded and mixed by David Langhard at DALA Studios, Winterthur in 20. – 22. July 2020<\/p>\n
