Analogue songs against digital worlds! After a few tinkers, Ludwig Dreistern presents his first album: a swan song to our digitised lives, in which financial gain takes precedence over personal and social benefits. «Instead of using digital tools to make our everyday lives easier and enjoy
more free time, we just work even harder. We have become lemmings who no longer know why they do whatthey do and have lost touch with nature.»
During the creative period (since 2022), the effects of the digitalisation craze (especially in Switzerland!) have continued to intensify, prompting Ludwig Dreistern to take a stand with his anti-digitalisation pop:
«Digitalisation makes life boring!»
With «Digital Dystopia», the Italian-Swiss artist wanted to create a little world of nostalgia in terms of sound. During the recordings (from 2024), he played around with various synthesizers and signal destruction effects that simulate damaged tapes or video soundtracks and benevolently recall more analogue times. In the middle of it all is an old Casio with a chord generator, a cheap synth, a string imitator and a few tape echoes.
