Mitten in der Zeit des Lockdowns, als Phil realisiert, dass das, was er normalerweise tut – na?mlich mit einer Gruppe von Leuten gemeinsam in einem Raum zu arbeiten – nicht stattfindet, ho?rt er ein Interview mit Lou Reed. Der spricht u?ber das Schreiben des Songs „Vicious“ und dass der Song ein Auftrag von Andy Warhol war. Andy gab Lou den Titel und die erste Zeile und der Rest – nach Lou – war simpel, weil es einfach nur noch darum ging, einen Auftrag zu erfu?llen. Den schwierigen ersten Schritt hatte jemand anderer getan.
Phil schrieb einigen Ku?nstlerfreund*innen rund um den Globus und bat sie um einen Auftrag – einen Titel und eine erste Zeile fu?r einen Song. Vielleicht gab es ja einen Song, den sie gerne ho?ren wollten, und den noch nie jemand geschrieben hatte?
ASSIGNMENTS #1 besteht aus sieben Songs, von Phil geschrieben, nach den Titeln und jeweils der ersten Zeile vorgeschlagen von:
Jacob Wren – ein in Montreal lebender Schriftsteller und Performance-Maker
Paloma Ayala – eine in der Schweiz lebende, mexikanische Ku?nstlerin, deren Fokus auf sozial-orientierter ku?nstlerischer Praxis liegt
Charbel Haber – ein Komponist, Performer und Songwriter aus Beirut, Libanon
Erin Hawkins – eine in Ontario, Kanada lebende Schriftstellerin und Lehrerin
Rene?e van Trier – eine Musikerin, Performerin und Malerin aus Tilburg, Niederlande

Anyway! Our booking and promo Guy has officially started his new Project called GOD Y. This time he does it all by himself. Playing, recording, designin, filming, directing… you name it. And today the first Single is released!
He made a very cool homemade clip with lots of insights to his gardening and kitten-sitting leasuretime. I love it! Well he’s an artist.. what else would you expect but pure art!
